KONAMI Secures Casino Management System Contract with Grand Falls Casino Resort

Las Vegas, Nevada – April 13, 2011 – Konami Gaming, Inc. announced today that the Grand Falls Casino Resort in Grand Falls, Iowa has selected the Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) to manage its slot machine and table games patron tracking, accounting, marketing campaigns and analytical reporting. The Grand Falls Casino Resort is due to open in summer 2011 with 900 slot machines (15% of which will be supplied by KONAMI), 24 table games and 8 poker tables.

KCMS is an industry-leading casino management system with an increasing number of installations spanning America, Canada, Australia as well as other international regions. KCMS is best known for its advanced capabilities, such as its real-time TCP/IP-based technology, multi-channel in-machine streaming video, powerful rules-based Bonusing engine, true multigame, multi-denomination analytics at both the device and patron level, and documented high availability.

Joe Massa, Chief Operating Officer, Grand Falls Casino Resort, said: “Having undergone several rigorous selection processes involving casino management systems over the years, this is now the fourth time in a row that the superior business benefits of KCMS have won out over the competition.”

The decision to implement KCMS at the Grand Falls Casino Resort was also partly due to its successful track record at its sister property, the 1,226-machine Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa. Riverside Casino has been utilizing Konami’s integrated KCMS modules to manage its slot machines and table games, ticket-in/ticket-out (TITO), cashiering, cage, player tracking and loyalty marketing activities.

Karlyn Ollendick, Chief Information Officer, Grand Falls Casino Resort, added: “The architecture behind KCMS has proven itself within our organization, time and time again, to be extremely reliable. KCMS simply doesn’t go down, which is an important factor to consider when preparing for a new casino. KONAMI’s continued ability to deliver forward-looking technology made our decision to go with KCMS for our prestigious new Grand Falls Casino an easy one.”

Steve Sutherland, EVP and Chief Operating Officer for KONAMI concluded: “KONAMI is extremely pleased to become a gaming technology partner with the new Grand Falls Casino. We look forward to contributing to their long-term success, both with the Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) as well as with 135 of our top-performing Podium, Advantage 5 and Advantage Revolution slot machines, which will be installed from day one.”
