Valley View Casino opened its new 7,500 square feet non-smoking casino addition on March 2, 2007. The fully-enclosed smoke-free space added an additional 350 new slot machines and a full bar.  Valley View plans to add additional space as part of its $114 million expansion project that will more than double the size of the San Diego county casino, located in Valley Center, Calif.

Dakota Sioux Casino, a 64,025 square feet, single-story casino in Watertown, S.D., recently opened in November 2006. The casino, benefiting the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe, features 375 gaming machines, an extensive kitchen and buffet, and a 200-seat lounge that offers live entertainment six days a week. The 92-room, 52,000 square feet hotel was completed prior to the casino project.

IP Casino, Resort, Spa in Biloxi, Miss. opened its chic new restaurant, Carnaval De Brasil, in August. Formerly known as Imperial Palace, the IP Casino Resort was damaged by Hurricane Katrina and has undergone a complete metamorphosis. Designed by Friedmutter and Associates and directed by Roy Anderson Corporation, KHS&S assisted in this process by completing both the interior and exterior renovations.
